Exhibition and Opening of a Lacquerschool

The next weekend (14th and 15th of April) will be the opening of a new small lacquer school in Tay Ho, Dang Thai Mai, (same side as the SOS Clinic, little further down).

At the school you will have the opportunity to learn the traditional Asian lacquer art with all utensils used in this tradition, like mother of pearl, gold and silver leaves, eggshell etc. You can paint pictures as well as decorate vases, boxes and bowls…and have the opportunity to meet Vietnamese artists and make excursions to the crafts villages to meet the artisans…..

The school will be opened by:
Tran Anh Tuan, ( lacquer-art.com ),
Artist and Professor of the
Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Art,
Member of Vietnam Fine Art Association Hanoi,
and Young Artist Club of Vietnam.

Tran Anh Tuan is working at the school with the German Artist Elke Ritter. Both will exhibit some of their work in an exhibition on the opening days of the lacquer school.
