‘Meet the DJs’ will be an oppoturnity for those who are interested in music to meet and chat with three experimental and electronic artists from Germany, Austria and Vietnam in a lovely, cozy and chilled-out atmosphere. Not only sharing their thoughts and passions for the art, DJs Slim V (Vietnam), Sven VT (Germany) and Sweet Susie (Austria) will also show some of their favorite gear and techniques, and bring audience a real unique DJ dance night!
People taking part in the event will also have chance to win free tickets to Hanoi Sound Stuff DJ event on 14 April with artists from Germany, England, Austrian and Vietnam.

Hanoi Grapevine is launching its Grapevine Arts Forum, which includes a series of arts talks and workshops featuring well-known Vietnamese and international artists with a special talk entitled ‘Meet the DJs’. The event will be held in collaboration with the Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival and Bookworm Festival of Ideas with support from the Goethe Institute.
Grapevine Arts Forum will be held on monthly basis with the aim to help broaden the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Vietnamese public of arts, and especially contemporary art.
Information about the DJs at ‘Meet the DJs’
- Slim V (Vietnam)
Graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 1998, Slim V started his DJ career in 2006 with House & Hiphop. In 2007, he won the 1st place in the French-Vietnamese contest held by world famous composer Nguyen Thien Dao.

- Sven VT (Germany)
Sven VT, who shows himself a passionate house and techno DJ along 15 years of his DJing career, has conquered the decks at every respected club in Berlin. Now, he is focusing on writing new music, as well as playing his monthly residency at Watergate, one of the most well-known clubs in Berlin.

- Sweet Susie (Austria)
DJane, electronic composer, and fine artist, Sweet Susie successfully reveals her ability to experiment in several artistic realms and mediums. With ease, she manages to adhere to her authentic sound and style while also exploring new options of innovation.

Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival:
Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival was held in 2008 by electronic artist Tri Minh, making it the first experimental electronic music festival organised in Vietnam.
In 2009, 2010, and 2011 the Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival continued to push the boundaries for electronic and experimental music performances in Vietnam by presenting creative cross-border collaborations between International and Vietnamese musicians and by adding visual artists and installations to the mix.
The Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2012 marks the fifth time the event will take place. This year’s festival is packed with an assorted mix of International and Vietnamese artists and new collaborations and activities with the aim to reach an even broader range of audiences.

The Bookworm Festival of Ideas & Writing:
Established in 2001 as a book exchange for expat readers of English language book, the Bookworm now has become the best little book cafe in Southeast Asia.
Since 2011, the Bookworm has organised a series of Festival of Ideas & Writing which includes talks by novelists, travel writers, poets, food writers, bloggers, editors, historians, raconteurs, songwriters, and philosophers to share their stories, their experiences or their IDEAS with the public.
