Performance of Tim Exile in Hanoi and Hue

Electronic musician, software developer, composer and live performer Tim Exile is coming to Vietnam with gigs planned for both Hanoi (in Hanoi Sound Stuff 2012) and Hue (in Festival Hue). During his visit he’ll be joined on stage by the Vietnamese ‘Queen of Hip Hop/ R&B’ Kimmese (Kim Quach Cam Le).

Tim has been invited to appear at the events by British Council Vietnam to showcase his radical approach to composing, improvising and performing. To date he has released critically acclaimed albums such as 2009’s Listening Tree, game-changing software products for musicians such as The Mouth and has recently been pioneering new ways of exploding the traditional musical process with online jamming project timexile.tv.

During his live streamed shows at timexile.tv the online audience are encouraged to send in their own sounds as they watch. With a self-built “black box” he creates entire concerts of improvised electronic music, using the live-sourced sounds.

Tim will appear first at An Dinh Palace,97 Phan Dinh Phung Street at the Hue Festival on 10, 11 April at 8.30pm.  Tickets can be purchase at the Hue Festival Office on 17 Le Loi,Hue as well as other ticketing agents in the city.

Later Tim will appear as part of the Hanoi Soundstuff Festival at Chu Van An Stadium at 10 Thuy Khue on April 14 at 6pm. In addition, Tim will deliver a workshop for Vietnamese Musicians atHanoiRockCityat 27/52 To Ngoc Van, Tay Ho,Hanoiat 7.00 p.m on 13 April 2012.
