You are invited to a photovoice exhibition “MY CULTURE – Conversations in Open Spaces”. Photovoice enables ethnic minorities to self-explore and proud to introduce the beauty of their cultures. People who never took a picture before have now created thousands of unique and vibrant pieces of photography. Each photo reveals a true story explored and told by a photo taker.

Nine ethnic groups participate in Photovoice by the Institute of Social Studies, Economics and Environment (ISEE) shall include: Si Hmong, Dao black (Yen Bai), Black H’mong, Red Dao (Lao Cai), Muong, Thai (Thanh Hoa), Pa Co and Van Kieu (Quang Tri), and Khmer (Soc Trang).

The exhibition gathers 150 outstanding works from hundreds of thousands of her children had photographs taken within four months. These photos are beautiful composition and color, contain its strong message of community life. Enclosed are pictures and interesting story, full of suggestive. Special value of the exhibition, from Photovoice method, the images are taken from an insider’s perspective, what the professional photographers work hard to get.
