KVT – Little Gems in Ngo Quyen
Tran Trong Tri’s ‘Ca Du’, which I tried to translate and got into a bit of a pickle doing so, is a another attractive piece, Whether it’s a tethered fish, boat or torpedo is irrelevant to me as I find it very more-ish .
This artist’s steel basket of red eggs needs a bit more work to make it as durable as it could be but it’s another that I’d really like to have as a lit feature. My guess is that it could be about the eggs laid by Au Co. It’s called ‘Common House’.
There are three fluid and lovely waving shapes by Pham Bao Son. I wasn’t all that taken with their wooden bases which made them look a bit sport trophy-ish, but apart from that they are sexy little bits of work.
It’s a show well worth seeing and most works are small enough to be comfortably acceptable to buyers who lack a lot of space. Prices are not available nor are artists’ contacts.
What a pity!
Closes on 27May 2012.
