Vietnamese cinema lovers are sure to be charmed by British Council’s UK film Festival 2012 taking place from 29 August to 11 September 2012, featuring famous UK movies from different periods of time from the 1960’s to 2010.
The UK film festival entitled ‘London calling’ aims to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games and for the first time, will be held in five major cities throughout Vietnam including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hue, Danang and Hai Phong.
The film festival will showcase different aspects of traditional and contemporary London to Vietnamese audiences across a range of different genres including action, thriller, comedy and biography.
Many of the films have been nominated for prizes at the Oscars, BAFTA Film Award, Grammy Award and the Golden Globe.
