From the organizer:
Come to the screening of “Little Girl of Hanoi” (73 minutes) – one of the most remarkable movies ever made anywhere during wartime— full of exquisite and startling images. It was produced in 1973 by veteran director Hai Ninh.
Filmed amid the rubble of a recently bombed Hanoi, this harrowing tale of a girl searching for her soldier father after losing the rest of her family during a bombardment is a powerful drama and a very rare look at life in the city during the Vietnam War.
The film won the Golden Lotus honor for best feature film at the Vietnam Film Festival in 1975.
Lan Huong, the artist who played the Little Girl will be able to attend the screening and take part in the question and answer session afterwards.
