A night of infectious West African grooves fused with traditional Vietnamese music will erupt into a funked out, floor shaking dance set from pioneering Filipino DJ Edge to make for a truly unique, magical musical journey across borders on SAT 19TH JAN.
Mali raised composer, percussionist and performer Musbaba has become a popular face in Hanoi during his time as a resident in the capital, adding real value to the local music scene as a guest and solo artist. Though up until now, Vietnam based audiences have yet to have a chance to experience Musbaba’s talents in full rhythmic force. For the first time, two members of Musbaba’s band from back home have joined him for a month long tour, bringing their original compositions and fun live energy to the HRC stage whilst incorporating local instruments such as the dan tranh.
The excellent live performance will be followed by the classy, feel good electronic blends of DJ EDGE: the man behind some of Ho Chi Minh City’s biggest dance parties, dOSe.
