Old and forgotten books of one person may bring knowledge and joy to another person. More specially, old books as a funding source for ‘the Sun in a Bottle’ project can help bringing a low-cost and sustainable source of light to poor communities.
You are encouraged to donate your books and/or join our book auction event!
Additional info on “The Sun in a Bottle” project:
Based on a simple principle: a recycled clean & clear bottle filled up with water and chlorine is installed partly above and partly below a metal roof. During the daytime, sunlight streams into the water, refracting and illuminating dark interiors with a spectrum equivalent to a 55-60 W light bulb.
First carried out in Brazil and the Philippines.
Tested successfully in District 4, Vietnam.

350 Vietnam is the largest grassroots climate change movement in the countries, 100% by volunteers and communities.
Mission: to promote, inspire and engage the public to adopt green living and production practices as practical contributions to slowing down the global climate change, and offer support to climate change affected communities.
