In recent years, under the project “Cinema Space” of TPD Center, a great number of film screenings have been set up at weekend, many of which have been screenings of Vietnamese movies. Aiming to boost the promotion of Vietnamese cinematic works to to both domestic and foreign audience, TPDCenter has decided to organize screenings of Vietnamese movies every Friday night.
Movies selected for the screenings are outstanding artworks of contemporary Vietnamese cinema. The first selected ones are 5 films including Living in fear, Adrift (Director Bui Thac Chuyen) Bi, don’t be Afraid (Phan Dang Di), For June (Nguyen Huu Tuan), Mother’s Soul (Pham Nhue Giang) with English Subtitle.
Different from other non-profit screenings on Saturday afternoon, the program Friday with Vietnam Cinema is a fund-raising event. In this program, we are calling out for audiences’ contributions to continue the operation of TPD Center in the future.
