Book Festival 2013 Calls for Sponsorship

Circle of Friends (COF) – Youth Volunteer Organization respectfully calls for sponsorship for the program Book Festival on 09/8/2013 at Thai Hoa Primary school, Thai Hoa Commune, Ba Vi District, Ha Noi – the third program in the series of Book Festivals (BF) to be held in 14 primary and lower secondary schools with over 8000 pupils in 8 poorest communes in Ba Vi District (Tiên Phong, Thái Hòa, Ba Trại, Ba Vì, Phú Sơn, Minh Châu, Khánh Thượng, Phú Đông) during the period of year 2013-2014.
In recent July 2013, while conducting surveys in the four of eight poorest communes in Ba Vì District (Thai Hoa, Phu Son, Khanh Thuong, Phu Dong), COF has seen that the children do not have many oppotunities for personal development as well as rich resource of books accessment. Besides, there is extra-curricular activities within schools and outsides that encourage reading culture of children.
Consequently, COF launches the BF program series, the third of which would be BF 09/8/2013, with the support from Thang Long March Fund andVietnam New Media Group, Sukienhay.com and Hanoi Grapevine for over 518 pupils in Thai Hoa Primary school in Ba Vi District. With the slogan: “Let books light up children’s dream” and the purpose of evoking the love for books of the children, the program BF is held with the following objectives:
• Content design and set up quality, up-to-date and suitable bookcases for all classes in grade 4 and 5 in eight poorest communes in Ba Vi District.
• Consult and instruct pupils to utilize and manage effectively the bookcases in active supervision of form teachers and school adminitrators.
• Support and consult to format class extra-cirricular activities involving books and reading culture improvement.
Due date for sponsorship: August 7th 2013
Donations would be:
• Stuffs: cultural publications (books, magazines…) for pupils in grade 4 and 5
• Cash: to set up bookcases, to organize the program Your contribution and assistance will help us organize this program successfully, as well as bring about spiritual sharing and encouragement to pupils and schools in 8 poorest communes in Ba Vi District.
