Tropfest SEA is calling for all interested residents or citizens of Southeast Asia to tell their stories – bring out your camera, make your film and submit it to us by October 28, 2013!
Selected finalists’ films will premiere at Tropfest SEA Festival Night to be held in Penang, Malaysia on January 25, 2014, to be watched by thousands at the free to attend event.
Tropfest began in Sydney Australia more than 20 years ago and today spans the globe to cover New York, Abu Dhabi, Sydney and Taranaki in New Zealand, and now in Southeast Asia.
It has become one of the world’s best springboards for emerging talents. Scores of films made for and screened at Tropfest have gone on to gain commercial distribution
Simple guidelines include:
• Your film must be made specifically for Tropfest SEA 2014
• Tropfest SEA 2014 must be your film’s first public screening
• Your film must be no longer than 7 minutes (including titles and credits)
• Your film must contain the 2014 Tropfest Signature Item (TSI) which is ‘RICE’
• Your film must be in 16:9 ratio That simple!
