From L’Espace:

You are invited to the Autochrome exhibition of Léon Busy, which is organized by Île-de-France and Hanoi People’s Committee under the framework of decentralized cooperation in France-Vietnam year.

The exhibition consists of 60 autochromes designed by Emmanuel Poisson, a historian at Paris Diderot University and Đinh Trọng Hiếu, an anthropologist at French National Centre for Scientific Research. Taken between 1914 and 1917, these color photos on glass plates (a process of Lumière brothers, 1903) will be presented in two themes: daily life – business and society; environment and beliefs. These works made by talented Leon Busy enable the public to understand clearly our past. A screening of about ten black and white short films about this period will also be offered. The exhibition is organized with the assistance of Albert Kahn Museum, Boulogne-Billancourt and Paris Diderot University.

Free entrance.
