There is nothing more wonderful than to enjoy films about love and family together in Christmas holiday. This week, you are invited to 2 film screenings “Flipped” and “Love Actually”. Two different styles, themes, context, characters have one thing in common – LOVE.
About Love Actually
Love Actually is a 2003 British Christmas-themed romantic comedy film written and directed by Richard Curtis. The screenplay delves into different aspects of love as shown through ten separate stories involving a wide variety of individuals, many of whom are shown to be interlinked as their tales progress. The ensemble cast is composed predominantly of British actors. Set primarily in London, the story begins five weeks before Christmas and is played out in a weekly countdown until the holiday, followed by anepilogue that takes place one month later. Love Actually is the ultimate romantic comedy from the makers of Bridget Jones’s Diary and Notting Hill. Funny, irresistible and heartwarming, an all-star cast (Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and Emma Thompson, to name a few!) will take you on a breathtaking tour of love’s delightful twists and turns. Fall under the spell of Love Actually and share the laughs and charm again and again.
About Flipped
Flipped is a 2010 romantic comedy drama film directed by Rob Reiner. It is an adaptation of the novel Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen. It had alimited release in the US on August 6, 2010, followed by a wide release three weeks later on August 27. “Flipped” takes Bryce and Juli from Grade School to Junior High, through triumph and disaster, family drama and first love, as they make the discoveries that will define who they are – and who they are to each other.
The screening is for educational purpose, entrance is free, though guests are welcome to donate to TPD Centre’s Young Cinema Fund.
