Artist Le Huy Hoang Passed Away

Sad news for the art scene in Vietnam.

Hanoi artist Bopha Xorigia Le Huy Hoang passed away yesterday at the age of 47 after a struggle with cancer. He was a kind and gentle man who enriched our lives with his work and with his spirit. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family. And for sure he will be missed.

The artist was born in 1967 to a Vietnamese mother and a Cambodian father and is well-known for his excellent installation works of “The Wall” at Goethe Institut in Dec 2012 and “Scarf” in May 2009 and “Rain” in March 2010, both at Nha San Studio.
