Social Art Project “Seize Your Moments”

Janne Willems travels the world to collect 1000 beautiful moments per continent for her social art project Seize Your Moments. She asks people whether they would like to draw a good or happy moment from the past week. She mainly collect in trains, parks etc. etc. and it’s amazing how people react. They cheer up after such a question and start talking to each other. It’s a good way to make people happy and investigate happiness. This is a short video about the European part of the project:

In the past seven months she traveled 20 countries all across Europe and Asia and collected 1500 drawings so far. The diversity in reactions has been great, but shows a lot of uniformity in that people really cheer up while remembering their beautiful moments.
From March 1st till March 15th she is in Vietnam to collect beautiful moments in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. Next to the project is a film project in which she invites local filmmakers to make short movies about the collecting of beautiful moments in their city. Do you want to join her?
