In the second week of youth month, you are invited to the screening of 2 other masterpieces: Sunny (Korea) and 3 Idiots (India).

Original language with Vietnamese subtitles. The screening is for educational purpose and supportive to TPD Centre’s Young Cinema Fund.

Sunny is a South Korean film about a middle-aged woman who tries to fulfill her friend’s dying wish of reuniting their group of high school friends. The film alternates between two timelines: the present day where the women are middle-aged, and the 1980s when they were in high school.

It is the second film by director-screenwriter Kang Hyeong-cheol, who directed Speedy Scandal. Released on 4 May 2011, the film was the first of that year to sell five million tickets in South Korea, and became the second highest grossing Korean film by year’s end. As of 20 September 2012, it is the 13th highest grossing Korean film by admissions sold in South Korean history. The movie won Best Director and Best Editing at the Daejong Film Awards. 3 Idiots (2009)
Language: Hindi with Vietnamese subtitles

3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with a screenplay by Abhijat Joshi, and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was loosely adapted from the novel ‘Five Point Someone’ by Chetan Bhagat. The film stars Aamir Khan,Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani. 3 IDIOTS went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film.
