CON TẠO XOAY (The Spinning Creator) is a contemporary dance carried out by The Association of Vietnamese Enterprises’ Cultural Department in association with Discovery Ballet Company and belongs to Project: For the popularity of Contemporary dance works.

With famous choreographers and artists of high quality, this work will bring the art of dance closer to audiences in the country as well as up to have the opportunity to rise and keep abreast with international fellows.

This play tells the changes of people’s lives through stages.
People are absorbed in the industrial apparatus which turns them into emotionless machines.
The struggle between the matter and the spirit of each person in different positions.
And eventually they realise the meaning of being alive in this world.

Act 1: REINCARNATION

Time turns and carries message from the past…
People are born, then die… And the dust returns to the earth;
The wheel of Samsara turns round and round in a human life.
Tick tock… tick tock….. encounter starts, all things move….
Predestined affinity of a human life…the spinning creator.

Act 2: THE SPINNING CREATOR

…. Tick tock …. tick tock ……karma….
…. Tick tock … tick tock ….fortune…….
…. Tick tock … tick ……Fall…
Fall…
Fall…
People in a whirl…. Society full of energy ….out of control …

Act 3: PROGRAMMING

Programming people – emotionless heart.
Spin…spin…spin…..power….money…crime…greed…treachery…. all chaotic in a new whirl …. tick tock … tick.. tick … tick … tick tock …. tock ….
People painfully struggle to escape.….. tick tock …one day…one month… tick tock …one year … tick tock …the mason bee nest… tick tock …
People helpless…fall down…motionless…

Act 4: BODY SLOUGHING

Oh my! The body and the mind enter into life of human.
O beautiful pure spirit …take flight… take flight …. tick tock …tick tock…
Body stained and exhausted…lovable masks or provoking anger masks?
Who am I in such masks?
Another coat, plaster….. those shameless faces, falling into debt which you could pay or not?

Act 5: DARK AND LIGHT

The lights go out, the sound of life fades. The story of night begins:
The night whispers about life… tick tock …love… tick tock …hate…
The night sobs and exposes life’s mistakes …. tick tock…sorrow…. tick tock ….endurance…
The night shaking with lust …. tick tock ….happiness…. tick tock ….
Marvellous night… deep… ghostly beauty.…
The night struggles…longing for sunlight … tick tock …
Tick tock…. tick tock …The night is me… tick tock … I am the night… tick tock …

Act 6: DUST

The body through sand, baths in sand, buried in sand … painful… writhes in anguish …
Tick tock…the spirit flies away…
The spirit passes by a strange land with reflective mirrors, yesterday is exposed, the spirit sees the body as disguting heteromorphism.
Tick tock… The halo shines guiding the spirit to Enlightenment …
….ticktock…to the impermanent world …
…tick tock…tranquillity…
…. bliss…….. unendingness…………………………
