Osaka Asian Film Festival 2015 (OAFF): Call for Applications

The COMPETITION Section is accepting film submissions until November 21. In addition to films produced in Asia, we are pleased to welcome the entry of any feature-length films related to Asian people or countries and regions. Among the selected films to be screened during the festival in March, our international jury will select the Grand Prix (the Best Picture Award, with cash prize of JPY500,000) and the Most Promising Talent Award (with cash prize of JPY200,000), and other awards.
Eligibility: To be eligible for Competition, films must:
– be produced in Asian countries and regions or be Asia-related.
– be in DCP, 35mm or video.
– not have been screened publicly in Japan, including theater and/or TV, prior to March 15, 2015.
– be completed after October 1, 2013.
– be 60 minutes or longer.
Awards:
A. The jury of OAFF will select the winners of the following awards:
– Grand Prix (with cash prize of 500,000 yen ~ 4,300 USD)
– Most Promising Talent Award (with cash prize of 200,000 yen ~ 1,700 USD)
B. Some additional awards may be bestowed by OAFF or the jury.
C. Audience Award will be given to the film screened in OAFF which earns the highest points from audience voting.
