Fashion Exhibition “Raffaella Curiel through Art, Travels and Music”

On the occasion of the visit to Vietnam of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sen. Benedetto Della Vedova, and in the framework of the activities of Y-Viet, the Embassy of Italy has the pleasure to present the fashion exhibition “Raffaella Curiel through Art, Travels and Music”.

The exhibition displays 25 pieces by renowned fashion designer Raffaella Curiel, whose brand is among those that most contributed, since the early XX century, to the rise and the success of the Italian “alta moda” worldwide.

As part of four generation of Italian female fashion designers – Ortensia, Gigliola, Raffaella and now Gigliola junior – Raffaella Curiel has presented and promoted the Italian “alta moda” all around the world, conveying, on the occasion of a number of international fashion shows, a unique and refined style that radically changed the traditional lines, material and concepts in the sector.

The exhibition, that hosts a special selection of dresses especially tailored for the Vietnamese event, does not emphasize just the outstanding fashion style of Mrs Curiel. The pieces inspired by famous painters and artists through centuries’spantime, as well as by the Countries visited by the stylist, highlight as well her eclectic and artistic sources of creativity and compose a rich and unforgettable showcase of Style, Travels, Art and Music.

Center for the academic promotion and orientation of study in Italy Uni-Italia was established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Interior. Uni-Italia Association has the aim of promoting Italian Higher Education and the mobility of foreign students and researchers towards Italian universities as well as encouraging academic cooperation between Italy and other foreign countries.
