SPOT ART is pleased to announce the opening of our second annual exhibition on November 21st at the ARTrium@MCI. SPOT ART is a premier platform that puts an in-depth survey of the diverse art scenes in Southeast Asia on the global contemporary art map through an annual competition and exhibition. Each edition brings the finest contemporary art created by artists under the age of 30 together with renowned curators and collectors in a winning and dynamic way.
Issuing an open call for submissions, SPOT ART engages graduates and associates of premier art universities in a demanding selection process by a Committee of distinguished art experts to ensure each annual edition showcases works of the highest standard. The result is a high quality exhibition of Southeast Asia’s freshest young talent, showcasing more than 100 artworks by 48 artists from 12 countries. Some of the selected artists are emerging, others are as yet unknown, offering an exceptional opportunity for collectors, curators and gallerists to spot new talent.
Two artists representing Vietnam at the exhibition are Do Thanh Lang (HCMC) and Phan Khanh Trang (Hue). See full list of participating artists from 12 countries here.
The first SPOT ART exhibition was organized from 26 Oct to 04 Nov 2013 and also showcased two Vietnamese artists – Le Thi Huong Giang and Tran Chi Thanh.
