HCMC – Concert with German Duo Raggabund

This year marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam – in Ho Chi Minh City the Goethe-Institut invites you to enjoy another Highlight of the event series “Germany-Vietnam 1975-2015”: Raggabund in concert.

Cool sounds for the Deutschlandfest will be provided by the band Raggabund, appearing at the invitation of the Goethe Institute. The two brothers with the stage names Paco Mendoza and Don Caramelo – from Munich, with South American roots – and the band members Luca and Michele Bochicchio from Italy will represent a colorful, multicultural Germany. They sing in Spanish, German or English about life and love, but also about social justice and tolerance. Musically they switch easily between genres, from Dancehall Ragga or Latin Beat to hip-hop or relaxed ballads. Raggabund’s musical energy immediately puts audiences under their spell. On their way to the Deutschlandfest in Hanoi they will stop in HCMC to celebrate with the South Vietnamese audience.
