Children and young adults must always be curious and eager to explore the world in a very particular way. Therefore the mystery and detective fiction for children and young adult readers and can be seen as an untouched land and challenging for writers.
On the occasion of European Literature in Hanoi, British Council proudly presents to Vietnamese audience an unique British author in the mystery and detective fiction genre for young adults and children, Jasper Fforde.
Referring to British detective novels, most Vietnamese readers probably will think about familiar names like Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie but Jasper Fforde’s literature style is going to bring a breath of fresh air and a contemporary look about this genre of literature. Especially the works of
Jasper aims at young readers. With the participationof Dr. Pham Xuan Thach – literary critic the round table discussion hopes to create an open dialog and exchange about this genre of literature as well as
potential in Vietnam.
