You are invited to join us in an evening of quality experimental music and improvisations of the Canadian experimental music group Edges! paired with Vietnamese emerging artist Sound Awakener. This concert will feature original improvised music, along with a piece of American composer Christian.

Sound Awakener (Viet Nam)
* Edges! – Formed in 2011 for their premiere performance at the Guelph Jazz Festival, Edges is a music ensemble that specializes in new and experimental music of many sorts. Edges has shared the stage at contemporary music festivals and marathons with the likes of ‘Bang On a Can All-Stars’, The Array Music Ensemble, CONTACT Contemporary Music, Gerry Hemingway, and many more. With some of the most active and creative musicians in Toronto, Edges is a growing collective of composers, performers, and improvisers who are all heavily involved in making and performing experimental and improvised music. The group has worked with a variety of musicians and has performed music by composers like Christian Wolff, Ann Southam, Morton Feldman, John Cage, Udo Kasemets, Allison Cameron and many others.
* Sound Awakener – is Nguyễn Hồng Nhung’s solo project formed back in 2011. Its aim is to experiment with various sound elements, especially random ones. Nhung has been releasing stuff on her own or with the help from labels/netlabels, providing works for visual/multimedia projects and performing her works
