Friends of Vietnam Heritage (FVH) would like to present 4 special shortfilm by talented director from TPD.

1, Gentle colors
Director: Nguyen Trung Kien
“Gentle colors” is a movie about a guy stuck in the memories of his old love. Audiences will see both the protagonist’s current stalemate and his inconsolable nostalgia. Set in the dreamy, romantic but blue Lyon; the film crew chose to use camera angle to represent the characters’ paradigm, so the audiences can totally immerse into the movie. Along with the good music, this movie would surely worth your time.

2, Running on crutches
Director: Nguyen Ha Phuong
“Running on crutches” is a story about the love of two sisters. After being seriously injured and cannot fight again, a female pugilist lived together with her younger sister, and has to rely on her for almost everything. One day, she discovered that her little sis is practicing Taekwondo, like she did before the accident. On that specific moment, HER ENVY ROSE and THINGS BEGAN TO GET OUT OF CONTROL..

3, What’s out there
Director: Nguyen Diep Thuy Anh
With the background set in an old tenement of Hanoi in the late-90s, It’s a story about one summer day of a young boy – who’s been locked up inside his home by his parents – and his adventure with the neighbors – the adventure of LOVE. The film delivers a nostalgic but pleasant feeling to the audiences. A child’s love is as much sweet as an adult’s one can be, but it’s much more lovely. A child’s love is unique in their very own way.

4, YRML
Director: Tran Thanh Van
YRML stands for “Yeu roi ma lai” (literally translated: Loved already)
School days and first love has always been an infinite source of inspirations for film-makers, and it is also the topic of YRML – a short romantic film about 3 students when the girl’s about to go study abroad. The film shows a witty and gentle story of teenage love with a pleasant surprise. No cheesy lines, no over-acting; the amateur film crew has given us a nice trip back to teenage time; and it’s definitely worth-a-go.
