Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music is proud to introduce the concert “Singapore’s Golden Jubilee & Friendship Vietnam – Singapore” to celebrate the Singaporean 50th National Day, and the wonderful collaboration 40th year between Vietnam and Singapore at our Concert Hall on September 25th, 2015.
The concert is performed by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra, with Conductor-Music Director Adrian Tan and two soloist from Singapore: Yew Shan – violinist and Noella Yan – cellist.
Yew Shan has studied at many prestigious music institutes in the world such as Koninklijk Conservatorium – Belgium, Yale University – USA, Sydney Conservatorium of Music – Australia. He has been the concertmaster of many orchestras and frequently performed as the soloist and chamber musician.
Noella Yan is a cellist who has the musical tradition in family. She has awarded many prizes and scholarships, graduated the Double Masters in both Performance and Chamber Music at the University of Michigan. With different chamber music groups, she has performed in many countries in the world, and becomes an avid musician in premier the contemporary compositions.
