“To understand Vietnam and the Vietnamese, first you should understand the villages. In other words, if you can understand the villages, you can understand Vietnam, because the village is a concise picture of Vietnam. Photographer Nguyen Huu Bao has contributed a different perspective on the village story. His memories about villages consist of memories about people here in ‘my feelings, my view’. 64 photos tells different stories about the village with happiness, sadness, separation or meeting.”
