The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam proudly presents its seventh act of the JF Garage Concert, “A Jazz Night with JumpforJazz” in Hanoi on Saturday 17.10.2015.
JumpforJazz is back! After the very successful and well received “Chronology of Jazz” series, JumpforJazz continues to surprise its audience by introducing a unique and original fusion of Jazz and Vietnamese folksongs.
Following its aim to support and encourage young and talented Vietnamese musicians to perform and participate in a wide variety of concerts, this time the JumpforJazz-band includes three well know musicians: Hoang Ha on drum, Vu Ngoc Ha on electric-bass, and Nguyen Huu Vuong on piano and special young talent guitarist Trinh Thy San.
In addition, this time JumpforJazz will spend half of the concert playing original compositions by John Coltrane to tribute to his birthday September 23, 1926. The accompanying jazz variations played are original compositions by Mr. Nguyen Bao Long.
Free admission. All free seats, first-come, first-served.
