This is a special jazz concert featuring renowned Vietnamese and Thai musicians to celebrate the birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand (December 5).
The show features top-notch musicians from Thailand such as Nichapa Jittaleela (piano and vocal), Pisut Pratheepasane (saxophone), Arnupap Kammar (drums), Suppanad Jittaleela (vocal) and Vietnam, Dao Minh Pha (bass).
Nichapa Jittaleela who graduated from SCA Siam University Faculty of Music was the first Thai jazz female artist to perform in many jazz festivals and concerts with her own band in Thailand and across the world. This show in Hanoi at Don’s features some of her own compositions and famous jazz standards.
Pisut Prateeprasane is a leading Thai saxophonist from the faculty of music at Silpakorn University. He is also member of a very popular Thai band called T-bone. He has performed at many music festivals across the world, including Glastonbury festival, the world’s largest music festival held in the United Kingdom and given concerts with world-class jazz musicians.
Arnupap Kammar is a prominent Thai drummer from the music faculty at the conservatory of music, Rangsit University. He has performed at many jazz concerts with top Thai and Asian jazz artists.
Suppanad Jittaleela is a famous Thai movie actress–singer-DJ who rose to fame after starring in the movie “Yes or No” (2010). She has many Asian fans, including those from Vietnam as well.
