The program consists of modern pieces in solo and duo performed by two guest artists from Washington State University: Dr. Gerald Berthiaume, piano and Dr. Chris Dickey, tuba. The audiences would have impressive experiences with the new breath in music and the special combination of piano and tuba.

Dr. Gerald Berthiaume is Professor of Music at Washington State University and served as Director of the School of Music from 2003 to 2011. Berthiaume has performed throughout the United States, in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Ukraine. In 1993, he was a winner in the USIA “Artistic Ambassador Competition” at Stanford University.
Dr. Chris Dickey, a Miraphone Performing Artist, is an emerging artist-teacher in the United States. Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Music at Washington State University. He is currently the principal tuba in the Washington-Idaho Symphony. He has made solo appearances with such groups as the Spokane British Brass Band, the Eastern Symphony Orchestra, the Iowa Chamber Winds, the University of Iowa Concert Band.
