Exhibition “Himalaya” by Photographer Nguyen Quynh Anh
Exhibition: 09 – 27 Jan 2016
Toong Co-working Space
From the organizer:
Exhibition “Himalaya” of photographer Nguyen Quynh Anh consists of 25 works selected from her trips to the lands surrounding Himalaya in North India in 3 years.
By far, Himalaya has become a source of creative inspiration for numerous movies, photos… due to its mystery, enchantment and grandeur. Quynh Anh is not an exception. In her eyes, this land has hidden an invisible attraction that makes her always want to come back once she arrived.
Many people ask her about why she could spend much time to take photos at this land, Quynh Anh said: “Maybe in the previous lifetime, I had been born somewhere in the Himalayas.”
This is an rare exhibition about Himalaya in Vietnam and this is how Nguyen Quynh Anh shares her own experience in the Himalayas, and thereby, introduces another insight of “The roof of the world”. A majestic nature, rugged terrain, harsh climate, but it seems that everything in Himalaya, from stone, grass and person, all imbues a sacred, pure and shining beauty.
About the photographer:
Nguyen Quynh Anh was born in Hanoi and grew up in Russia. She graduated with architecture major in Moscow, but has pursued photography and travelling as the greatest passions in her life after her trip to North India in 2012.
