From the organizer:

Come to the concert “NEW WORLDS”, performed by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra to open the performing season of 2016.

The Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra launches its 2016 season with a celebration of old world traditions in a contemporary light. Led by Music Director Adrian Tan, highlights of the program include the world premiere of Vietnamese composer Dinh Lang’s Concerto for Dan Tranh “The Endless Fields”, with acclaimed virtuoso Nguyen Hai Phuong; and the orchestral debut of prize-winning young pianist Tran Yen Nhi in Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Rounding up the program is Antonin Dvorak’s ever-popular Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” with which he advocates African-American melodies as American folk songs and the foundation for the “future music of this country”.
