From Goethe Institut:
Since the 1970s the art world uses the term ‘Leipziger Schule’. However, it is not a consistent style which interconnects the associated artists, but their domain: the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. The exhibition “Storyteller” presents works of the third generation, which still reveals a tendency to tell stories.
On 7th of April 2016, the director of the Leipzig Museum of Fine Arts Dr. Hans-Werner Schmidt, who also curated the exhibition, guides a tour through the exhibition “Storyteller”, giving an insight into the visual diaries of the artists.
On the following day, 8th of April, Dr. Hans-Werner Schmidt will hold a lecture about the exhibition in German, with translation into Vietnamese at the Goethe Institut.
