Painter Dang Thong Tuyen was born in 1955 in Vietnam, where he started to exhibit his work in the 70s. In 1989 he moved to Vienna and built a second home there. As freelance artist he now commutes regularly between Austria and Vietnam. In addition to Vietnam his paintings were already shown in Austria, Germany, France and Italy.

He himself describes his style: “On my artistic path I encountered different styles. Earlier my works were influenced by strong, abstract feelings and characterized by strong colors and sharp lines. Today you can feel a deep emotional tranquility in my paintings that reflect the magical realism with sparkling light and vague colors.”

Mr. Dang Thong Tuyen and the Austrian Embassy are delighted to announce the artist’s newest exhibition “Girl, Moon and Flowers”, which will be opening next Monday.
