Heritage Space proudly presents a guitar night with the theme “LA FANTASIA – THE MUSIC INVENTIONS” with performances by artists from The Guitar Club. The night is part of the New Music show, which is created by composer Vu Nhat Tan and his collaborators.

About the artists
Tuan Khang is one of the classical guitar pioneers of Hanoi. Graduated from The Vietnam National Academy of Music, Tuan Khang won the first prize in the National Guitar Festival 2002. For the recent 10 years, he has supported many young guitarists by organizing the North-South Guitar events series, promoting the professionality in classical guitar playing. With his tireless artistic effort, Tuan Khang has won audiences’ hearts nationwide with a wild and emotional performance style. Watch him play the famous Cuban song “Malaguena” here:

Le Hung Phong is one of the very few classical guitarists who influence significantly the widespread development of guitar activities among students. In 2006, he founded the Guitar Club Le Nguyen Tran, with classes spread across Hanoi as well as in more than 20 universities. He always seeks for the optimal path to help people conquer the guitar through friendly teaching methods and Vietnam music inventions transcribed for guitar. Listen to him playing “Unbreak My Heart”:

Dang Truong Giang is a rare classic artist from the student guitar movement. In 2004, he attended classes of Tuan Khang and then Le Hung Phong, who have developed the love of music and recital skills of Truong Giang. He began his classical performing career in 2012 with events in the North-South Guitar events series and private events at L’espace Hanoi. Watch one of his performances at L’Espace here:

Nguyen Duy Phong is an acoustic, fingerstyle guitarist. In 2008, Duy Phong studied classical music under the guidance of the artitst Quang Vinh and then the artists Tuan Khang, Hung Phong, Cao Minh Duc, etc… An elegant, sophisticated and energetic recital style has made Duy Phong become the most influential fingerstyle guitarist today. In 2014, he also performed in the concert of Korean guitar prodigy Sungha Jung. Listen to his acoustic fingerstyle arrangement of Adele’s “Hello” here:
