Come to screening of three films on families: New documentaries from student directors at TPD (Centre for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents).
The neighbor opposite (Nhà đối diện)

A 20-minute documentary vividly and truthfully describes the life of a gay couple in Ha Noi through the view of their neighbors. “The neighbor opposite” is rich in sociality feature, joyful, youthful, giving the audience a modern point of view about an emerging social issue that many people care about but very few understand and look directly into it.

The film depicts the lives of an old couple. The husband is so weak that he cannot take care of himself. While his life seems to be stuff between living and death, his relatives look after him with all their heart.

The film “Why doesn’t Binh get married?” reflects an issue which is not new but never stops being hot currently. Are love and happiness decided by ourselves or by society? The strong belief on herself is easily recognized. The main character shares her own story with a modern view.
