“Luminous Showcase”, a Bright Beautiful Showcase of some of the best musicians, artists and performers in Hanoi right now.

FULL PERFORMANCE DETAILS

7pm – Film Screening in the Red Room

To start the evening at 7pm there will be free popcorn to accompany the long awaited screening of the film ‘Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock & Roll – a 2015 documentary film about Cambodian rock music in the 1960s and 1970s, before the Khmer Rouge regime and Cambodian Genocide.

8.30-10.30pm – Hub in the Courtyard

Following this at 8:30pm we are very proud to welcome Hanoi’s very own Hub collective who will be performing a new show called ‘moving culture’

9pm – Jody O’Dea in the Red Room

Should your feet get itchy during this time Jody O’dea will be warming up the red room form 9pm with his uplifting melodic style of DJing.

10:30pm onwards – Lark Minkous in the Phosphorescent Facist Fandango Room

Lark Minous is live electronic and instrumental soundscape performance, this evening set in the aesthetic paradise that is Karen and Loren’s PFF room. Come in – lay back – and let Lark Minkous carry you away to a dream you had once but can’t quite remember.

10.30pm – Humb in the Red Room

Jeffsy AKA Humb has been making music for quite some time and occasionally we are lucky enough to be able to book him, on Saturday he will be kicking things up with his rather excellent taste in funk. We haven’t had the pleasure since he played before ‘7 Deadly Breaks’. Guaranteed ass shaking.

12 Midnight Cabaret Maxim in the Red Room

Relatively new to Hanoi but making all kinds of wonderful touble – the Cabaret Maxim guys are going to be taking over at Midnight for Deep jazzy and soulful saxophone-sopranino improvisations over looped groovy patterns with bongos and house beats on top.

Around 1:30am – ToK in the Red Room

Also a relative newcomer to Hanoi – previously living in Hong Kong – Tok is part of the Cliché crew who will be bringing music on the regular to Hanoi very soon. Tok sounds is a deep disco based house with uplifting feels and a irresistible call to the dance floor. TOK – France Tok is originally from Lyon and he has been influenced by its famous Festival Les Nuits Sonores. Tok spent a tremendous amount of time traveling around Europe (Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelone and Paris) to discover new musical trends, visiting their scenes and being part of the new generation of the electronic music lovers. Since his arrival in Hong Kong, Tok has started his own events under the name of “Conspiracy” aiming to bring art and music together, he also DJ in different venues to share his musical universe with its crowd. . Around 3am – Sameed in the Red Room

Sammeed is a very versatile DJ and producer. Originally from the UK and with releases on both Local Talk and Skylax Labels, Sameed’s sound is positive feels with plenty of disco, bass Warehouse funky disco garage soul and more.
