HN & HCMC – Film Screening “How Much Does Your Building Weigh, Mr Foster?”
Sat 03 Sep 2016, 3 pm
Hanoi: Heritage Space
HCMC: Salon Ca phe thu bay
From Heritage Space:
On August 20, Architecture Movies Club featured the architect “Utopia” in the 60s, a decade that is said to be the transition between two periods. In the 70s, there was a profound shift in architectural platform. A new generation of architects was found with a common spirit, a new approach to architectural forms. They had enough setback to look into “modern architecture”, and also took it as a theoretical basis to find their own way. Unlike Modern movement with “Style international”, from the 70s onward, architecture is diverse in styles.
The screening will introduce British architect Norman Foster whose style represents the “high-tech” trend of architecture in the 70s.
