Come and learn some authentic african tribal beats at Vietnam’s first hand drumming workshop. Facilitated by Tara Tucker – certified by djembe grandmaster Mamady Keita. Tara has studied with some of the greatest djembe masters in the world including Famoudou Konate and Babara Bangoura. Tara’s taught everywhere from Japan to Switzerland. She’s the real deal.
Bring a hand drum if you’ve got one. If not, don’t worry, we’ve got lots of drums to go around.
Open to any skill level, beginners to advanced. Come along and learn some drum grooves and bell patterns that commonly occur in traditional rhythms from Mali and Guinea, West Africa.
