From the organizer:

30 years after Doi Moi (innovation) started in 1986, Vietnam has recorded significant achievements in the process of constructing and protecting the Homeland. In parallel with the development of the country, Vietnamese contemporary art has also integrated into international contemporary art scene; and a new generation of post-Doi-Moi artists have created a diverse and dynamic art scene for the country.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Doi Moi, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition organize “Be Open” Exhibition – 30 Years of Fine Arts after Doi Moi at Vietnam Fine Art Museum from 21st to 28th September. The exhibition displays artworks by 50 Vietnamese artists with a range of medium and expression, reflecting the multidimensional Vietnamese contemporary art scene.
