Bookbinding is the physical process of assembling a book from a stack of ordered paper to be folded together into sections or sometimes be a pile of personal documents. That is what makes the beauty and distinctive character of each book.

In this workshop, the participants will make 3 different books which can help them further with their projects. The workshop will start with a simple Pamphlet stitch book moving on to a flutter book and finishing with a Japanese 4 hole stab binding. Bookbinding can Always help artist and writers to create their own books from the single sheets they have created before.

This workshop is guided by Saghi.

Saghi PARKHIDEH was born in Tehran, Iran in 1989. She works predominantly in the medium of print making, but includes drawing and artist books in her projects as well. PARKHIDEH completed a Bachelor degree at the Tehran university of art in 2008. She also received a DNAP & DNSEP in Visual arts from ESAD (Ecole national superieure d’art) in Grenoble, France.
