Spanish musician and compositor participates in Asia – Europe Music Festival with the singer Estela Barrientos.
The composer Domènec González de la Rubia and singer, Estela Barrientos, will participate in the second edition of the Asia / Europe Festival to be held in Hanoi (Vietnam) from 12 to 18 October. Organized by the Vietnam Musicians Association, the event will bring together nearly 200 artists from 30 nationalities.
Domènec González de la Rubia and Estela Barrientos, who come to Vietnam with the support of the SGAE and AIE Foundation, will offer a performance at the Chamber Hall of the National Academy of Music on October 14. The program will consist of original versions of González de la Rubia on Spanish popular music (Lorca / Andalusia, Extremadura) and his own works. This performance is part of a concert which will involve musicians from Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore.
Also, on October 15, the interpreters Stepan Iakovich (violin-Russia) and Nguyen Nguyet Thu (Viola-Vietnam) will perform his Duet Helios for violin and viola (Preludio-Helios-Tango), a work that had been already released in Spain and now has expressly selected for this international festival, which aims to reinforce the cultural exchange between the two continents through music.
