From the organizer:

What do you know about Belgium?

To ensure that the answer is “a lot”, the Embassy decided to organize a “Belgian Week” that allows people all over Vietnam to learn more about Belgium and more specifically what Belgium is doing in Vietnam. Surely it will involve the well-known Belgian products – who does not want to feast on chocolate, beer, waffles and fries? – but there is much more to discover!

In the future we want for all of Vietnam to know that Tintin and the Smurfs are thoroughly Belgian; that the saxophone, roller-skates and the world wide web are Belgian inventions. That we sport 178 breweries making 800 different kinds of beer, that we produce more than 220.000 tons of chocolate and pralines per year and that we are the country in the world counting the most castles per square meter. That we have great dj’s and fantastic artists.
