ABOUT HWANG SUN-MI

Hwang Sun-mi was born in 1963 in Hongseong, South Korea. She studied composition at Seoul Institute of the Arts. Hwang’s career as a writer began in 1995, and since then she has published nearly 30 books over various genres.

Hwang Sun-mi was awarded numerous literary prizes for children in the country, including the award media Children SBS (SBS Children’s Media Award) in 2001 and Award children’s literature Se-jong (Se-jong Children’s Literature Award) in 2003.
