40th Anniversary of Spain-Vietnam Relations Logo Competition

In 2017 Spain and Vietnam will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. To commemorate these 40 years of friendship Spain and Vietnam will showcase their cultural, economic and political ties through a series of events that will take place throughout the year. Join a logo design competition to create a unified image to commemorate this anniversary while providing an opportunity to boost the visibility of the creative talent of Spanish and Vietnamese designers.

REQUISITES AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility: The contest is open to Vietnamese and Spanish students and professionals with a background in graphic design and art. Contestants must be residents in Vietnam.

Prizes: The creator/s of the winning design will be awarded 10 million VND.

Jury: The winner will be selected by a jury that will consist of six members: Three representatives from the Embassy and three representatives from the Spanish Vietnamese artistic community. A seventh vote will be awarded to the most “liked” entry by the followers of the Embassy’s Facebook page, where all entries will be published.

The jury can decide not to select a winner.

The designers of the five most “liked” logos on the Embassy’s Facebook page will receive free passes to the main cultural events organised by the Embassy in 2017, as well as a sample of Spanish products.

Artistic criteria: The logo must reflect the excellent relationship and friendship between Spain and Vietnam and must be easily identifiable as a common image for the two countries and the celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations.

Technical criteria:

The logo must size well, both for small and large prints, as well as online materials
Contestants must present the logo in both of the two following electronic
formats:
1. Vector file (.AI, or .EPS)
2. PDF format

Each contestant can submit a maximum of three entries.

Submission: Participants who are interested in the competition are invited to submit their entries via email to [email protected].

The Embassy will acknowledge reception of every entry received by e-mail.

marking it “Logo Competition” in a sealed envelope

When to submit: by or before 14:00 hours on December 12, 2016. All entries must include a completed participation form (see below) and a photocopy of the designer’s passport or ID card.
