Come to the film screening “The Salesman”.

Tehran is a changing city. Day and night, heavy plant machinery is alternatively eating buildings down and scratching the soil to seed new ones. In the middle of one night, Emad and Rana are awoken by a huge shaking – works “next door” are weakening the foundations of their building which is on the verge of collapsing.

As they look for a new shelter, their friend let them relocate in a new apartment where they hope they can pursue their quiet middle-class life and envision growing their family. But the apartment’s past as a brothel strikes them one day: Rana is violently assaulted by an intruder. The tragic event builds a wall between Rana who tries to navigate between her contradictory emotions and Emad who, wondering how to save his wife, plots for revenge…
