The Swiss non-profit association and institute ArtePont would like to invite photographers to participate in an international photography group show during the 16th Venice Biennale.

During the upcoming 16th Venice Biennale of Architecture, photographers are invited to send in their proposals for the exhibition on the theme “ARCHITECTURE CAPTURED” to be held during the 2018 Venice Biennale, in Palazzo Corner Spinelli a 15th-century palace located on the Grand Canal.

Artists are invited to present their view of the world, re-interpretation architecture today. Successful applicants are notified 20th of October and 20th of November respectively.

Submission guidelines for online application:

– Any photography using any method, with the theme of “Architecture”.
– Only one work will be selected from each photographer.
– All work must be professional framed when submitted. Otherwise the work will not be installed. Guidelines are provided upon acceptance.
– Sizes are fixed. Photographers may submit the following sizes:

11 x 14 inches (28cm x 35.5cm aprox.)
16 x 20 inches (40cm x 50cm aprox.)
24 x 36 inches (60cm x 92cm aprox.)

Selected artists are based on previous exhibition history and the strength of their curatorial proposal for the project. Open to all artists working in photography. The aim will however be, to curate an experience that will avoid “labeling” artists geographically, but rather have the artworks speak for themselves.

ARTE PONTE is a Swiss non-profit association and institute that supports its members who are emerging and established visual artists, curators, designers and architects as well as and professionals within the art-world by fostering connections to a network of opportunities. Since 2009, the association has been promoting artists during selected art fairs in Paris, Venice, New York, Miami, Basel and Austria.
