DocFest is a documentary and experimental film festival held annually by Hanoi DocLab with the support from Goethe Institute in Hanoi. The festival aims to bring to the public Vietnam-made independent films and hope that this will be a platform for the independent filmmakers of the country to speak their own voice. DocFest gathers many Vietnamese artists, those who practiced and are practicing in the field of independent films.
DocFest 2017 is the 6th edition of DocFest Film Festival, taking place from 07 Nov to 12 Nov 2017, with many different events such as film screenings, workshops, conferences and seminars on the South-East Asian cinema.

Registration form
Eligibility requirements:
1. We accept application forms for documentary films, experimental films, or fictional short films with experimentality.
2. Films being registered have to be completed in the period from 2016-2017 and sent to us before 30 Sep 2017.
3. The main director of the film has to be Vietnamese (nationality or by blood), or with the theme and context in Vietnam.
No registration fee is required. If your film is selected to be screened at the festival, a notice will be sent to you before 15 Oct 2017.
