You are invited to the talk show “The modern life – At what price?” on the occasion of launching the Vietnamese version of the Goncourt award winning novel “Chanson Douce” (English title: The Perfect Nanny) by Leïla Slimani.
The show will feature Nguyen Hoang Anh – lecturer at the Foreign Trade University.
Myriam and her husband has given a great deal of consideration to choosing Louise as the nanny to their two children. But when their kids are murdered by no other than the perfect nanny, they realized that just being careful is not enough. We cannot let our lives depend on other people and we have to know how much we should rely on others.
This is not a detective novel, as all details have been made clear from the beginning. This is a psychoanalytic novel, written in a poetic yet gloomy style that any one of us can relate to.
