Workshop “Eyes”
Thu 28 Sep 2017, 6 pm
Arena Multimedia
80 Truc Khe, Hanoi
From the organizer:
“Eyes” is the first workshop of the community project “I Sustain Beauty 2017”. It provides participants with the opportunities to discuss with two artists – guest speakers about “the eyes”: What do they see with their eyes that help them define “beauty”? Do they use their eyes to try to convey any messages in an artwork, a photograph… to their audience?
The event will feature two guest speakers:
– Painter Le Thiet Cuong: a freelance artist working in Hanoi, well-known for his minimalist paintings. His artworks are included in a collection of the National Museum of Singapore and have been exhibited in several countries. He also writes for the cultural and arts columns of a number of newspaper and magazines such as Tuoi Tre (Youth), Lao Dong (Labour), The Gioi Tiep Thi, Tia Sang, and Nhan Dan (The People)…
– Photographer Tran Tuan Viet: known to some people as “the storyteller on National Geographic”. Thirteen of his photographs have been selected as “Photo of the Day – Daily Dozen” of the National Geographic online magazine.
